Did anyone ever "change your mind" about the opposite sex?

I'll leave it open for both positive and negative here.

The only request is that we stick with *individuals* and not make this a feminism/anti/nonfeminism battle, you know?

Was there anyone of the opposite sex in your life who made an impact on you that *changed* how you felt about the opposite sex overall, whether positive or negative?

If you'd share the story, that'd be awesome.
 
I would say every female I have ever dated has proven to me multiple negative female stereotypes over and over again. Most are of the "what's good for the goose is NOT good for the gander" variety. Also the better you try to treat them or the nicer the thing you try to do for them, the more likely they are to try and twist it around in some negative way ex. pushing them toward a goal THEY have picked for themselves = "you are trying to control me" or "I just want to complain why things are not working out, NOT fix them and succeed on this goal!"
I have yet to ever meet any female who has the strentgh to admit she was wrong or apologize for doing something wrong. Almost all have tried to just pretend it didn't happen
