I did!

I watched both back to back episodes and they were both incredible! The second one was about a mother/daughter who were battling herion addiction that started with oxycontins.. I thought the show was incredibly moving and it had me in tears a couple of times and put this addiction into perspective again! To see lives fall that far out of control.... What a blessing they received in the end.

Then... commercials came on to bring awareness to addiction and they had me in tears also!!! My husband must think I am a true basket case!!! hahaha

Just wanted to see if anyone saw this?

I watched that last show last night for the first time. I watched both of them. WOW! They were both powerful shows. That girl in the second show, the daughter, had one foot in the grave, I am afraid.

I know!!!

She was so lucky to have been alive! It was something else!! I was just so saddened by their story! but was so glad they both got the help they needed in the end!!!

I think it's a powerful show and it helps me see how quickly things can get out of control!!!! SO I think it's good for me to see other people's addiction stories much like it helps me read other stories on here and share my own.

Tacot, I watched it too for the first time...I was in tears by the end of it. It's amazing how a story about someone else, can mess with our minRAB. I felt alot of guilt and sadness when I watched it.

Secrets, I agree - When we see lives fall so far out of control, it puts alot into perspective.

Have a good day ladies,

emsmom and secrets, My husband was watching both of the shows with me last night and he thought they were very depressing. I thought they were sad, but the end results were so wonderful. It made me realize how lucky I was with my addiction. I know that sounRAB terrible, but compared to both of the women on those shows, I feel my recovery was easier. It is so great to see people like that want to help themselves with the love of their families. I think I will be watching more episodes of this show.

My husband finRAB the show very depressing as well... I find that it helps me see other people dealing with addiction even if their situations are far different than my own. It also makes me feel lucky as well that I stopped this before it got to that point. The show always makes me cry.... to see such struggle and to KNOW how hard it is not to take that pill... or go thru the pain of w/d makes me sympathize with these people in a way I don't think I would have been able to do before my addiction. It's like we are all in this "club" together and I feel so protective......

My husband even made a few comments like " WELL JUST STOP TAKING THE DRUGS OR PUT THE DRINK DOWN IF YOU LOVE YOUR KIRAB" and I found myself saying... "You don't know what these people are struggling with honey... addiction is all consuming and it doesn't mean they don't love their children... they do, the drug just has them in a trap right now and they need some help" He looked at me like...... "WOW" He didn't say much after that.

I will watch the show whenever I see it's on. I think the more people are aware of addiction... the more lives it will save down the road and the more awareness that is out there can save even one person to go thru what we all have then... IT'S WORTH IT!

Have a great day ladies!
