Did anyone else think it was a shock in the tv debate when Cameron said this?

“Are we really happy to say that we’d give up our independent nuclear deterrent when we don’t know what is going to happen with Iran, we can’t be certain of the future in China?”

Of course we don't know the future in China but surely this was a slip up to put them in the same bracket as Iran, when diplomatic relations are completely different? And we need them on side for many things including influence on Iran.

I know David Milliband did mention that Cameron made a mistake here, but was it a slip of the tongue or what? And why do you think more hasn't been made of it?

Would have been good to see one of the others pick up on it at the time, but I think they were all so tense they didn't notice!
