Did any of you or your family/friends ever have White-Wall Tires on your car?

My dad did once. It really made the car look classy back in those days. He use to wash that car almost every other day to make those tires "shine".

My parents had a 1947 Oldsmobile 88 convertible with a white top, white interior and white sidewall tires. GORGEOUS. I remember my uncle came to visit for the summer before entering Dental School and he was around 21 and was always begging my parents to let him drive the car...so they agreed if he would pick me up from day camp each day! LOL

i had white wall tires with different thickness of the white walls. white walls used to cost a few dollars more than black walls
