I've just spent the last three days in agony and was practically over dosing on pain killers yesterday, yet I awoke this morning with no pain at all.The only thing different I've been doing is taking one 75mg diclofenac sodium tablet every day for the last three days.

Can a simple anti-inflammotory be so effective? And can inflamation around an injury cause so much pain? I'm a bit puzzled why it's been so bad for a few days yet today I feel fine.:p

Yes anti imflametories can be effective. It takes time for them to build up in your system to give you some relief-as you just found out. It has taken the swelling down so that the nerve can be relaxed so your pain will be dissapated. But be careful so you don't over do it and end up flat on your back again.
