Diane 35

Hi,
I am 35 years old and have suffered with mild acne for about 5 years. When I was in my 20's I had perfect skin.I do not get huge pimples but small closed bumps but they are all over my face. Then the bumps turned flaky and itchy on top of my skin being oily.
I have been to 4 derm's and a naturopath. I have tried numerous creams from the derm. Most of them make my skin worse. I recently have been on Diane 35 for 3 months and I have had no success. Anyone else been on Diane 35 and how long did it take to kick in?

Hi,

I have always rated Diane35, I was on it in my 20's with great success and again more recently after my acne came back after being clear for a few years. I found it worked for me within about a month.
The problem I have is that my acne ALWAYS comes back. So although I have had great sucess with the various drugs I have taken, nothing makes it go for good.

Thanks for your reply. From what I have read and what my doctor has told me, they say it takes 3-6 months for Diane to work. I have just finished my third pack and still oily skin, bumps, flakes and itchiness I am assuming from the flakiness. I cannot use topical medications and they make my skin red and inflamed and it gets ten times worse. Not sure what the next step is but I don't want to stay on Diane 35 if it's doing nothing.
