dialing a satelittle phone number

Does any one know anything about dialing a satelittle phone number from a blackberry. I have a. Friend using an 8700g and whenever they try and dial a satelitte number from his device it rarely goes through. But if he uses any other phone it goes through just fine
 
~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~jonny, I see that all the time here, now I know! Poor web design - I scrolled down the page to see if there were more replys, saw none, then clicked the wheel to go to my bookmarks. But the cursor happened to be on the "Post Quick Reply" button!
 
It should not make any difference. Almost weekly, I call several satalite phone numbers of people currently in the Middle East, and they go through without any problem. I have service with Verizon.
