Help im getting to the end of me tether here 3 straight days of watery diarrea,Only had diarrea like prob most people for a few hours while iv eaten something bad.But this time i got up after a night out with lots of drinking to be honest with a hangover,I only drink once a week,so sat mornings are a bit worse for wear! Anyway decided to have a salad for breakfast and since the afternoon that day im constantly goin to the toilet about every 10 mins,and is esp a problem at night as no sooner am i feeling tired iv got to get up again for toilet.Im planning to stay up tonight cause i know the worst will be over with by about 6 am when all me food has gone through and i will finally get some sleep.Im not having any pains just browni green water and i am constantly feeling a bubleing,rumbling sensation in my stomach just before i have to go toilet if only for a squirt,but then no sooner have i got up i have to start alll over.
Can anyone help with any ideas???
 
Sounds like you picked up a little bug. It'll run it's course soon enough. Whatever you do, don't eat SALAD! Roughage (raw veg and raw fruit) is the worst thing if you have diarrhea!
Keep yourself hydrated. Water. Tea is very good. Dry crackers. Toast. Avoid sugar for a couple of days. You could try scrambled eggs if you need something "solid".
Hang on, you'll be fine.

Hi..could very well be some bug you ingested....but I would strongly suggest you go to a doctor and have stool samples done so that whatever invader can be identified if at all possible.

Does the diarrhea have a horrid smell....or is it just "normal"...

Just as an aside...binge drinking is very hard on your system, especially the liver and kidneys.

You should definitely eat....

Start some probiotics to help get the bacterial balance happening in your digestive system and to help push out the foreign invader if it's lingering.

Make sure you wash your hands thoroughly and under nails after using the toilet, and don't share any towels. This kind of stuff is very easy to pick up if you're living with others.

Oh, did you recently have a course of antibiotics?
Did you ingest diet soda mixed with your alcohol?

rossiboy: eat the BRAT diet - Bananas, rice, apples and toast. It's binding. It'll help stabilize your stomache. The probiotics are a good idea too. The salad was a bad idea. Keep yourself hydrated too. Drink some electrolytes like gatorade.
 
Thanks for your replies,Have been drinking salt water since my post,App me wife says it good for such things,old wifes tail me thinks but seems to have had some effect as I got a nights sleep,But alas only to start the routine all over this morning. Regards to soda,I drink lager only when i go out although im wondering if you are refering to the aspartain/akulsarme in diet soda? However chew a lot of gum approx 1 pack a day which contains these substances however these artificial sugers come further down the list of ingrediants on my supermarket own brand than the only available everywhere (Wigleys) lol.Unfortunatly it is hard to completely remove this stuff as its nearly in everything in the the UK.Reflecting back sat mornings are my weakest after friday night,I dont drink any other night.Im suspecting it the salad i had in the morning,It were one of those salad packs in a bag pre cut,Suspect it were just put on me plate without being washed,and of course me system weak from the alcohol??? many thanks for you two guys replys
