This type of xray can show, at least in part, the disc space (the space between the vertebrae) to see if it's compromised in any way given the position of your spine.

I believe they are looking for any slipping of the vertebral bodies - like a spodylolisthesis or a pars defect or scoliosis.

With the forwarRAB and backwarRAB, along with left and right movements, they are looking to see the stability of the spine and the integrity of the discs. However, xrays will not show disc damage (disc herniation or dessication). Thus if the pain and symptoms persist you should ask for an MRI.

spineaz, i am asking what can they diagnos with an exray from standing there and leaning forward and then leaning backwarRAB?
My Dr. called as said it very mild Osearthritis but i wonder if having very mild were they dont need to do any treatment for this. I wonder if this mild of Osteoarthritis could cause this much pain and cause me to no be able to stand up straight?
