DG834GT. Wii needs PC powered up first why ?

DG834GT. With this router my PC is conected via LAN, My Wii is connected via Wireless all working O.K. I can even turn off my PC and the Wii still works with the Router. However, if I don't turn the PC on first I cannot connect....why?
