Device Status for N8

I do not believe the Device Status app from Nokia Beta Labs works on the N8 (did not try it, basing that on the app requirements) but I thought I read somewhere that there is a similar app for S60 5th that works on the N8. I searched and could not find it again and am wondering if anyone knows what it is. I need to do a soft reset which will restore all settings to factory defaults and want to dump all my current settings before doing this. Oh, the soft reset was recommended by Nokia Care when I contacted them that my phone reboots about every 4-7 days. If the soft reset does not work they suggested a hard reset, which I will not do given the problems it causes (I have not replied that to them yet... going to wait until I try the soft reset).
 
Backup the default pictures, and videos if you want to keep those, as it's my understanding those get deleted on a hard reset.

Your problems I'm sure are hardware related, as my first defective N8 had that problem, and I had to exchange it, but my was rebooting every hour or so.

Let us know how it goes.
 
My understanding is that it deletes the ovi store app (can get it back) along with the QT framework. I have seen links to download the QT framework but not from Nokia, so it appears this also can be restored.

I am not planning to do a hard reset unless absolutely necessary and am going to try the soft reset first. I am still looking for an app that will get all the device settings so I do not have to write all of them down or do screen prints (have not even looked to see what apps can do that).
