advice particularly welcome? my boyfriend flirted openly online with a female he found attractive from her photo (complimented her), she contacted him and initiated the conversation She asked him for a fling and he said yes he would do that and will be down in her town in 2 weeks time, free on wednesday, said he yes to sex, that he would say yes to a date from her, talked a bit dirty and then described his girlfriend (ie me) as not being serious (he's asked me to marry him) and that he doesn't know if he is in love (he says he loves me more powerfully than anyone he's met before and we sacrificed a lot to be togehter). I discovered this chat history on his computer. Obviously this all looks bad and there is no good way to look at it from my point of view. He says it was an ego stroke, that he was playing a game and that he had no intention of meeting her on wednesday. Do some men just do this for entertainment but never follow through? Guys what's your view especially on this? Does this constitute cheating? i just can't believe he would do this and he seems genuinely devastated but not sure if he's devastated about me or just that he got caught.... time to move on or do I believe he was just playing a little game he had no intention of following....? advice? we are nearly 40 so this not a little teenage silliness.
