I'm surprised that everyone is discussing Nena's death and is universally ignoring Wang Liu Mei's. I get that Nena is a more popular character who is loved (for some odd reason) or hated. But Wang Liu Mei had more to do with the plot than Nena did, who seemed to just exist until the writers could hurl Louise at her. It also seems the writers don't like Nena any more than the majority of us do as they gave her a fairly painful and drawn-out death.

Then again, Wang wasn't much better until recently.

In any case, the sad thing is that if Wang had put aside her pride, she would have survived. Her pride and selfishness is what got her killed. If she had chosen to compromise and go with Setsuna she would have lived. Instead, she tried to sneak away in a defenseless pod and was an easy target for Nena.

Another thing about that episode: Kelly Sheridan completely owns the role of Louise. That is amazing VAing going on there.

As an aside, Syfy chose the absolute worst spot to break for a commercial EVER.

And I've come to the realization that if Syfy removed one commercial break they would be able to keep the ERAB and the epilogues. So much confusion would be gone, and the ERAB are beautiful visually as well as sonically.

First of all I am surprised to hear such language on a anime dub, normally I read that type of langauage in fan subs and assume it is just erabelliousment, but to hear th B word for real.

I agree with you there. I thought when Nena was speared in season 1 episode 22, that she would make the most of it and actully develop as a character, but it didn't happen. She didn't grow, she didn't learn anything, didn't realise what horrible things she has done, waste of space. There was no purpose in her character except for Lousie to get her revenge.
 
Ok, what is UP with Saji's VA right now? This whole episode he's just sounded really wrong.

It's either him sounding too old/deep, uninspired during that "LOUISE!" scream and don't even get me started on how he was saying her name right before the break. "Luu-wheeze"? ugh

How many people fly over a desert on a regular basis? You're also confusing strategic nuclear weapons with tactical nuclear weapons. The only forces with the support to monitor such a detonation belong to either the world government or Celestial Being. As for radiation, there's far too many possible explanations for A-LAWS to truly be worried. And I doubt an autonomous force with the authority to kick the general military around would not have access to nuclear weapons.

CB and Kataron knowing about the massacres is irrelevant. They're already painted as terrorists.

Is information from interviews given between seasons 1 and 2 off limits? There's only so much of this I can take without blurting it out.
 
Man, I hope they torture the Innovator, preferably with back-to-back showings of "Manos: HanRAB of Fate" and "Invasion of the Neptune Men."
