I didn't really get that feeling that Setsuna really cared about being an innovator, just defeating the distortion. It's kinda like Goku where he doesn't really care about being Super Saiyan, but he just wants to beat Frieza and it became the means to do it.

It's likely just for time to squeeze in more commercials. However, there's a more sinister message they unintentionally sent.

They were fine showing an Arab kingdom blown up by a WMD. They were fine with large African cities being endangered by a WMD and falling space debris. They're fine showing Arabian countries burning. But they're not fine showing a fleet of White people getting blown to pieces.

Way to go there Syfy.

I know, but in terms of the story it's why he had to do it. He could kick Hilling and Revive's butts multiple times but the audience won't buy it unless he beat Ribbons.

Someone is going to notice a huge radiated area in the middle of the desert. Not to mention, it is possible to detect such amounts of radiation.

Plus, these are moping-up operations. And dirtying up the place with fallout is not the best way to do it

While Deterrence is one of the main reasons why Nukes haven't been used often, there are other reasons. First, its really messy. Second, its needlessly destructive. There is such a thing as overkill, especially if one accidentally destroys the primary objective in the process.

Another thought: Maybe the Alaws don't have access to Nukes?

CB and Kataron knows about this, the information is not as contained as it should be.

Perhaps there's another reason why the Alaws are doing this. But what?
