Despite your view on climate change, shouldn't we all protect our environment?

By recycling, not dumping toxins in the land and water, not releasing gases into the air.

There are measurable results of human pollution (endangered species, coral reefs, etc.)

Can we all agree humans need to treat this Earth better?
 
I agree with the person who said reusing over recycling. I take cloth shopping bags with me to the grocery store, filter my own water into a steel canteen, and try to find uses for the containers of just about everything. I do my best to buy things that have minimal packaging. If people would insist on better, and less, packaging, things would slowly improve.

Give up meat, showering and ride a bike to work.

Notice how those advocating being green are flying here and there, have 50k gallon swimming pools, a fleet of cars and a jacuzzi tub big enough for ten.

My footprint is a heck of a lot smaller than theirs. In fact, it couldn't get any smaller.

I recycle, work from home, and only drive my car about 10 miles per week.

SELL IT to those who DO need to reduce their footprint. Celebrities and politicians.
 
Obviously, we can not all agree. When a person is at a certain level they don't care for themselves. When they are at another level they do care for themselves. If I live to eat a hot dog with the works for lunch & a triple dip ice cream cone, I can't understand what harm toxics do I am so messed up it means nothing. Yet if I have a nice salad with fruits & veggies & clean water & I take time to do yoga & meditate I might care about the earth. So you can't expect a first grade to read on a high school level & you can't expect a republican to have the integrity to care about the earth. Oh, there are some, I remember McCain's daughter cared & I am sure there are a few more but they just don't live on the level of caring people.
 
yes and even though I don't believe in climate change I still believe in cleaning the air and rivers. I think a lot more people would join the groups that clean up rivers if they weren't a bunch of global warming alarmists
