Desperate - Please Help!!! Anyone!!

I'm in Tulsa, Oklahoma and we recently got hit with a pretty bad ice storm that left over 100,000 homes and businesses without power.

I need help in using my moto q (now on cricket, thanks to all the great posts here) as a modem for internet access. Or if EVDO is available here and how I go about converting my phone to it.

I'm having to drive a ways just to get reliable internet access.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.


FYI: I flashed my samsung A-900 over to cricket from sprint not to long ago and was told it would never have MMS or Web. I took my phone into a cricket store here locally and one of the techs (an old sprint tech) did something to it and I now get picture messaging and limited web access. He wouldn't tell me what he did so I just left it alone.

If someone could help me figure out what he did I would be more than willing to post this info.

I've never really used a Q, so I'm not sure what kind of tethering software it comes with. On PocketPC's, there is a program called Internet Sharing that's very intuitive. If you don't have that program, look into one called "PDANet." I haven't used PDANet before, but I've seen good reviews.

Thanks, I got the EVDO stuff done, now I just need to get the PRL for Tulsa.
