On Tuesday my fiance and working father on my 20 month old baby girl was picked up (after he flagged a cop down for a jump start on his car battery) For an outstanding warrant because he didnt pay his Probation for the past 9 years (nothing serious right) I have been with this man for 3 years and he has never commited a crime , never have gotten a knock from the sheriff on our door looking for him, but anyways he owes a total of 8000 to them I offered to give them 4360 to let him out until court on January 11th (so he can have christmas with us) but no , no bail no nothing sets in there until then! (rapists get out) but not someone innocent WTF?! He is a hard working man our sole source of income, so know the state is paying his room and board, and Im laid off from work being the winter I always am, so know the will be paying my room and board (PA is already in DEBT) does anyone have any advice on what I can do, I think its a waste of tax payers money and the state needs to put real criminals in there not people that have changed there life , really they are ruining me and my daughters life right now more than they are ruining his he doesnt have to set and deal with the money problems the baby problems no just me Im alone and now will probably lose everything that he has worked so hard to get for us! IT MAKES NO SENSE!!!! any advice is helpful any thoughts at all really THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!
#1 lady I am laid off because I work full time and get laid off every december and January! #2 it is juevenille probation he is 24 years old no I dont blame the state your right he should have paid it, but HE is not doing wrong now ,the probation is for FIGHTING and TOBACCO use in school and Loitering! When I have the money , wouldnt your rather take it? #3 My daugther and I are well taken care of believe me, but his income pays over half our expenses I am not deprieving my daughter I am a 21 year old mother that probably takes care of her daughter better than most people believe me for my young age! #4 I know people that violate probation orders for booting Heroine and Smoking Crack and are bail free dozing off taking care of there kids, believe me thats why Im pissed they wont take my money and drop the nonsense.
also he has life insurance for that matter so it would be taken care of life insurance doesnt cover this! I am not feeling a victim its just really hard to deal with! have you ever had to deal your 20 month old daughter her daddy isnt coming home? ITS hard!
Theres no sense of getting another Job when they are letting him free January 11th, Ive already talked to the probation officer thats prosecuting the case and she says he has good timing and the money will final his sentencing (I have over half in cash and the rest on a credit card) Thats why its come to the point where Im looking for advice! and also I make really good money doing what I do for all the more I do, I like having two months off because I love having the free time to spend with my baby because when I do work I work 6-6 6 days a week!
actually I dont spend money on computers I am on my work computer doing this! we live basic lifes without electronics so I dont have access to a computer all the time Im just having a casual day at work that I actually have time to get on here and look around for what I can find out, you dont know me so dont judge me! Im not living on welfare taking food stamps and whatever else they offer Im sucking it up and working my ass off like I have been for the past 6 years!

I dont know what state youre in but in Connecticut rapists get remanded to the department of corrections awaiting trial. also in connecticut, a violation of probation voids your probation and lands you in jail until the case or trial ends.

also if he owes $8000 he mustve done something bad.

1. he's not "innocent". He's on probation for a reason. That reason may pre-date you...but it's there.

2. he's know about this debt for 9 years and has done nothing about it. Had he manned up and taken care of business....the debt would have been paid and he would not have been arrested. The state is not the one who jambed you up....your boyfriend did because he did not take care of business.

3. do you blame them for not letting him out? He's owed the $ for 9 years and done nothing about it. They have no reason to believe that once he gets out again he will suddenly do the right thing.

4. you need money...you are laid off. Go get a job. Sitting around laid off...is ruining your and your daughters life. Not the state. It's not the state's job to make sure you have food and housing. That's your job. Go get a job and start providing for you and your daughter. If you work in an industry where you know you will be out of work in the winter....you may want to consider changing industries or start planning better for the winter. In the mean time....you need to provide for yourself...start looking for a job. You've got a long way to go before winter is over.

While your looking for a job....start posting fliers in your community and church. You can get $75.00 -$100 per house cleaning houses at 2-3 houses per day x 5 days. If you are a stay at home mom...take in a couple of kids. In my area, day care runs 450 per month per child. As long as you stay below the state minimum you can run a day care with out being permitted by the state. You have a computer, start searching the internet and find out what the guidelines in your state are.

Think of it this way....if your boyfriend had dropped dead of a heart attack....no life insurance...what would you do?

You are only a victim because you choose to be. Rather than accept responsibility for your situation...you are going to blame the state. Time to pull up your big girl panties and learn to provide for yourself and your daughter.

Good Luck to You.

Probation violation is treated differently than a standard arrest, their is no assumption of innocence. It is a violation of a court order and they can hold you without bail until a hearing..
Depending on the nature of the crime he is on probation for ,the court could handel this in many different ways, Anything from payment of fines to finishing the Original sentence in jail.
Having no offenses and having gain full employment should help his case.
