Derren Brown Live: Hero at 30,000 feet, C4 10pm

I'm not normally a fan of Derren Brown but was gripped last night, missed the first 20 mins, tuned in when he picked up the wallet and keys. I find it hard to understand how he can be suddenly hyptnotized and then shunted in a flight simulator though. Was still a good watch.
 
So in the same vein, you should understand why that worked and this doesn't.

One involved intelligent use of probability scams- tonights had no logic to it whatsoever and the lottery thing? Don't even get me started!

now all this happened many years ago during what is known as the cold war period. at that time I was employed by a computer company and in my job I sometimes visited GCHQ.
until you've been in there you've absolutely no idea what it is like. GCHQ stanRAB for government communication headquareters, also known as britains top secret spy base.
now my hobby has always been radio and I had made a contact with someone in east germany which at that time was part of the soviet empire which had plans to invade western europe.
I decided to go for a holiday in sweden, which at that time was a neutral country with some links to communist countries. I travelled on the north sea ferry which is cheaper than flying and takes 24 hours.
I paid for just an economy cabin which is very basic with 4 berths below the water line.
when I went to board the ship on the return journey one of the crew said you are in a different cabin.
to my surprise, I was put in a twin berth cabin with a window to look out and toilet and shower.
however, I was sharing it with a strange man.
the next morning, when I went for breakfast, an attractive swedish girl who worked on the ship was smiling at me in an odd way.
I later realized what must have happened. GCHQ, finding out about my contact thought I could have been a mole and I could have been meeting a handler in sweden. so I was followed there, covertly hypnotized on the return journey. the swedish girl was brought in to help with interrogation under hypnosis knowing I would have a rapport with a beautiful swedish girl.
 
I trust Derren.,I have followed his work for 9 years and unlike probably all on here have read his first two books(now out of print)for magicians where he explains his ideologies and thoughts plus insights into spectator management,hypnosis,psychology etc. He would not fake it,simple as that.
Just because "we" do not know what was happening in Matt's head does not mean it was staged, no matter what it looks like. Its too easy to scream"fake" at TV shows.
The same was said of the Lottery show, of Russian Roulette too,maybe others, I cant recall.
Derren has stated it wasn't fake and based on what I have said above taht's good enough for me.

Noone else was acting other than those who are actors,yes the flight attendant had to "act" but that is not same as being a paid actor thsu why she was "crap". His family and indeed Matt were not. Derren stated on Twitter after show.
 
That's daydreaming, or "not concentrating", or "thinking about other things". Calling it "an altered state of consciousness" sounRAB fancy, but I still don't see the link to being able to control people on stage. Little help?
