Derren Brown Live: Hero at 30,000 feet, C4 10pm

heres how,
first of all I remembered something I saw on the tv years ago. its one of those thimgs you don't forget
there was a real hypnotist, it wasn,t stage hypnotism, I don't know what the program was. he had this young girl sitting, about 16 years old, and he showed how a hypnotic trigger worked. he had obviously hypnotized her before to implant the trigger. he said something in her ear and she immediately went into deep somnambulism. she didn't slump but remained upright and you could see, the muscles in her face relaxed and she had a blank look on her face. she went straight from normal consciousness to a wide awake trance. he then took a fold of skin from the back of her hand, pushed a needle through it and her face remained expressionless.
to return to my story. about this time I decided to take a coach trip to london. on the return journey a strange man sat on the seat beside me, although there were several vacant seats on the coach. he engaged me in conversation, and also offered me a can of beer which I refused.
during the conversation he repeated a phrase 3 or 4 times, I felt drowsy and the next thing I awoke and the coach had travelled some distance.
over the following days I began to have suspiscions, during the conversation this man, although a stranger, seemed to know personal things about me. could this phrase hve been a hypnotic trigger? could these dreams have been hypnotism.
to find out I placed a chair against the bedroom door and left a tape recorder running while I slept.
I played the tape back the following morning, 'low and behold' someone had turned the door handle and tried to enter the room.
at this time I owned my own house and had a female renting a room, I confronted her with this and she knew the game was up.
you see the trigger phrase did not work the first time, he had to repeat it.[/QUOTE]

I'm confused ...aren't you a hypnotist ?

So im deluded and insane and whatever else Ive been called becuase I can accept things at face value and because I actually believe what Derren says off screen. Im no obsessive but I likely know more about Derrens work than all on here.
If Derren joine dand posted that it wasnt fake you wouldnt believe him so what does that make most on here? Blind believers! You are judging a TV show without thinking.
Calls of Matt and his family being actors is ludicrous.Stuck your fingers in your ears and cry "Fake fake" is rather pathetic.
It was a set up scenario that all were part of aside Matt-or did you all miss that bit? Unless you are Matt and in that situation, you cannot say what he did or how he reacted is fake.

Not like a five minute hypnosis session and then he did all those things,it was 6 months of prep work by Derren .Im prepared to be wrong but doubt I am. At least I offer some intelligent points rather than say "Fake" after every TV show he does,

Do continue with the insults in absence of rational debate.

About 5 OR 10 per cent, which is it? Even if the 10 per cent figure is correct, which I doubt for major surgery, then that isn't very much given the great potential risks involved.

The figures you quoted should give you a clue as to why hypnosis isn't prescribed more often.

Well he said worRAB to the effect that someone else has just started a 30 day countdown.

I took that as a reference to a second programme and Radio Times in their written promo about the show quite definitely said there was another in about a month's time.

So either they were given information to this effect or they misinterpreted his comments around 10 days before the show happened when they wrote that comment into RT. Which if that part of the show was live they could not have done, meaning they had seen the show pre filmed days beforehand.

Either way if both they and I misinterpreted an inspirational speech to change our lives then DB neeRAB a new scriptwriter.

Ha Ha Ha! I real live intimidating bully!

I didn't think they existed anymore.

Anyway, point one: I am not at your beck and call to do as you say when you demand it. I actually have a life to get on with as well as the odd post on RAB.

Point two: You may like to re-read my earlier long post about screaming audience members who refuse to see it any other way and are in fact just fishing for answers. You obviously didn't see yourself in that.

Point three: I will be back later to address posts as I see fit and at the time I wish to.

And you didn't ask me anything: All you have done so far is tell people that it isn't this and it isn't that with no supporting evidence provided by yourself! Pot, kettle, black.

Also the big point you missed in your rush to discredit me is that I haven't stated anywhere on here what hypnosis IS. So why do I need to back up something I haven't stated?

PS. I'm not your "Pal"

Keep up, eggshell.

Bramly's someone who got interested in hypnosis after discovering that a hypnotist was getting into his room at night and hypnotising him in his sleep to do weird things. These include going to (or imagining going to) sauna's and massage parlours, walking naked in the street, doing something embarrassing in the pub (what we don't know) and also something about being in a porn movie (which bramly is, quite rightly, keeping to himself). Quite often he'd feel like he'd been dreaming or hear voices in his head.

It seems like the guy on the bus from London, who was drinking beer and repeating himself, may have been involved as bramly fell asleep on the journey.

Also his female tenant seems to have been involved. Was she feeding information to the bus hypnotist or just allowing him access to the room? We just don't know yet.

What we do know is that bramly taped someone trying to open his door while he slept, This is where he rumbled the scheme. SounRAB like the female tenant legged it after that.

What we still have to find out is who the guy on the bus was and what was the point of the whole scheme.

I think that they were testing to see how far they could control bramly in his sleep and then - who knows - they could've cleaned him out!!

I can't wait for the next post.

If only to disappoint you: :p:D

Sadly, Ginger Geek is not Derren Brown and only wishes that I had his sort of income from doing what they enjoy.

:)

Haha, yeah- As if they'd make it that obvious that the whole thing was STAGED! :D

It's completely and utterly 100% believable of course...

Btw: those saying, "yeah, but it's still entertaining". Well each to their own!

If it's fake (which it is), then it's just some stupid soap opera in my opinion. It defeats the whole point really for me, but like I said, each to their own.

Wow, bramly... dude. What a tale.

We still haven't uncovered the mystery hypnotist though. One would hope he's behind bars, given that it seems you're about to catch him out with recorded evidence.

Do you think perhaps you might have been drugged?

Nah, the actors on Crimewatch are much better! :D

The whole thing reminded me of when you go to see those crappy hypnotists who try to be like Paul Mckenna and have a stage full of plonkers - and one or two of em become the 'stars' of that particular nights show.

At least one, if not more of these 'stars' you will be able to see straight through (sometimes they even open one eye up, whilst 'hypnotised') as they are clearly faking and trying so hard with their 'I am hypnotised REALLY, or 'sleepwalking seriously' face!):rolleyes:
