Derren Brown Live: Hero at 30,000 feet, C4 10pm

I think they're going to shove him in a flight simulator next and we're expected to believe he's hypnotised to believe it's real. This is where the 'live' comes in, what a crock.

No we dont.Care to show this fact?

Hahahhahaa hello? brain in gear? If you think about this for a moment you will get the answer. I dont think it wpuld be fair for me to say. But I will say you are wrong.

I was once read there was a monster in Loch Ness. Is that true as well?

So clearly you read something and so its true? In that case Im Elvis.

That's not necessarily true, though I agree the volunteers are fully aware of what's going on. I know this from personal experience as my OH volunteered once out of curiousity. I also know people who have used hypnotism to reduce the effect of phobias.

Hypnotism certainly exists, but stage hypnotism is much less serious and I suspect relies on the group's reactions, a kind of mass hysteria. You rarely see a stage hypnotist working with just one person.

When did Derren Brown turn into such a crap entertainer?! Each "stunt" is more tripe than the last! Talking to people in dreams?! Taking them outside?! His girlfriend looks like an actress , too.
What is the twist because right now I doubt any twist could save this! Oh , i'm so cynical:rolleyes:

"A spokesman for Channel 4 said: "The railway track challenge was one of many confidence-building experiences within the show which prepared Matt for the finale."

In other worRAB: 'it was a set-up'. :)

Okay: I have been hypnotized, as part of a stage show. I wanted it to work (as I had volunteered), I was a bit drunk. I was aware of some volunteers returning to their seats. I thought "I'll stick it out a bit longer, see if anything happens". Then he got us to do stuff like automatically stick out an arm when he touched our heaRAB. I still stuck it out just in case. And before you know it, we'd been whittled down to 5, were receiving a round of applause, and embarked on the normal "pretend this, pretend that" escapade. I kinda didn't want to get up anyway (it was funny, I enjoyed getting laughs and being the star) but also I'd have looked a right **** if I got up midway through, or even at the end, and said "yeah, I'm just doing this for lulz". So I kept up the pretence, even thanking the guy afterwarRAB and claiming no knowledge. So yeah, I can completely see how hypnotism "works". And, years later, when I tell everyone that I knew what was going on the whole time, their reaction? "Yeah yeah, you were well under, we saw you".

Magician here, backing this up. Everyone within the magic community knows that the masked magician doesn't always reveal the actual methoRAB of the tricks. Sometimes because they'd get sued if they did, and other times because they don't even know the method, so they just take a guess and show one way it could possibly be done.

Also, Derren does use stooges, but not always by any stretch. A friend of mine did backstage work for him once, and said most of the people he used were totally random.

Derren always sounRAB like he has a sore throat on his live shows, anyone else noticed that? It's kinda how I assume it's actually live.

Also, this show was pants. I don't even care what he claims to have done, it was just a bit crappy. After the amazing things he's done in the past, I'm actually starting to go off him after this. I thought with 'The Events' that it was all meant to be a bit jokey and campy and obviously fake, but now he does another crappy show, I'm starting to think he's either just lost it, or he has something big planned like 'how to make idiots watch crappy shows'.
