deregulation economics questions?

i apologize for the amount of economics questions that i ask but i hate my economics class because my teacher doesn't even understand it because it is his first time teaching it and i do not understand it at all but i have to take it in order to graduate.

Any help is appreciated for these questions. Thank you

what are three market practices that the government regulates or bans to protect competition?
what are the effects of deregulation of different Industries?
how did deregulation change the banking and air travel industries?
 
The government has anti-trust laws (although these don't really accomplish much) and has laws against monopolies (again, counterproductive). Ask a question on that if you want to know more about why I don't like anti-trust and anti-monopoly laws.

Deregulating the banking industry? I can't comment on that because it's still so heavily regulated with the existence of a Federal Reserve.

Deregulating the air travel industry gave us cheaper airfare like Southwest but also lost us our airplane meals.
