Deploying to Afghanistan, how do I prepare my 1098?

I'm deploying to Afghanistan extremely soon and I need to prep my 1098 (and 996... and Monster S2R 1000) for the deployment. I've got a climate controlled storage facility for all of my italian supermodels so that's covered.

If you were deploying to Afghanistan for almost a year, what would you do with your Ducati's?

Fresh oil and filter, plug air intakes(mice are a bitch), liberal coating of WD-40 on chain and other possible corrosion areas, drain tank after running sea foam through the injectors, pull the battery, place on stands if possible so the tires aren't stressed.


Most importantly keep your head down and stay in touch.

Do all the aforementioned 1098 brother regarding your italian supermodel. Added, I wouldn't doubt I'm not alone in expressing to ya to go there (Afghanistan), kick ass WHEN you need to which is probably daily, and return home safe to the USA.
