Demonoid ratio/stats problems

they've always had problems with the ratio tracking working correctly. when the forums were up, there were at least ten threads a day about the ratios not updating correctly. it has more to do with the code and the number of peers that it tracks than anything else (imo).
 
I tried their site for a while and I couldnt deal with the ratios updating only once a day. I like sites where it updates anytime your client announces or every 15 minutes. Gives you a better idea if your client is reporting correctly to the tracker or not.
 
I always thought my ratio was too high on that site , still waiting for their forum to reopen . Don't care for the new search bar on the left much either .

Always log in with the same IP you're going to download/seed from before you do so, and check the other ratio tips in their FAQ.

They don't disable for low ratio anyway.
 
Well the thing is it seems easy to upload on Demonoid , I can't on IPT. with out jumping thru hoops . I guess thats the difference with Private trackers ?
 
I am doing a ton of uploading and it has been a couple days since my demonoid stats have been updated. i am using utorrent (bitcomet messes your demonoid ratio) and have dht disabled (stats do not count for any peers connected by dht). I have a static ip but even tried logging in and out of the site like on the FAQ but to no avail.

well I think I figured out what happened. my roommate just signed up for demonoid too and he just noticed today that his stats reflected about 100GB that he didn't upload. so we checked (whatismyip.com) and the site reported us as having the same ip address.

we are both on a school network and everyone in the building must have the same external ip address. now what to do? I searched and everything about changing ip addresses refers to dynamic ips, can I set up a unique static ip address so trackers and websites won't view us as the same computer?
 
I think I was unclear. I meant is there anyway to let demonoid know of my new IP adress because with me having a new computer my IP adress is different so how can I let Demonoid know?

Well there there ratio system is not that effiicient like other Private Trackers!!

I was seeding back from a box, upped like 45 Gb and findoff it was not meterd!!
They want you to login from Box and shit.

Because stopping and starting torrent didnt worked out!!
They should improve there system!!
 
I do not donate to improve my ratio IF ever I got a bad ratio, and for sure, I'm not going to donate to get my ratio put to 1 when Demonoid screwed up. I don't like the idea of cash for Gigs at all.

since demonoid is basically a no care ratio tracker i wouldnt worry. There system isnt the best anyway as they dont even have a passkey system which means anybody who owns multiwan or even changes his ip without loging in and out my not get recorded at all.

As of my last check, you could even download .torrents from the site and leech without even being a member.
