my friends comp was runnig VERY slow
(3 hours of waiting for the icons to show up before i decided to install anotehr OS) so i cleaned house with antivirus and the deletion of different programs. (turned out Spybot was makign it slow... weird?)
then i restarted and the thing goes BSOD on me. i boot into safe mode and i cant get explorer.exe to run. i can bring up task manager and browse for it. i find it and click it and it says it cant find it. then i go and new task the thing and it still wont do it. I can run programs from safe mode and i can boot into XP pro just fine.
Avira cant find any more viruses. what else should i do?
