Dell Bluetooth keyboard volume control will not work.?

I am on my second bluetooth keyboard right now and have now had the problem happen again. With the first one, it worked for about a year and a half. Then the volume control stopped working. I reinstalled the software and it never worked. Then I purchased a second one of the same type and it worked for about a month, and now it has quit again. I reistalle dthe software again and no luck, what is going on with these things.?
 
Bluetooth wireless is worthless for pc peripherals. Get rid of that junk and go wireless usb.
