Deliberation and Heroism?

I'm doing a project on heroism. It's about how deliberation(or thinking before you do something) is essential to heroism. And i have to do my project on the Disney character, Mulan. What are some examples of Mulan using deliberation that in the end makes her a hero? I'm struggling with this a lot so any help is appreciated! thanks
 
Knowing that females are not considered warriors, but dresses and goes to do battle anyway. Knowing that she may be injured, but is willing to take the chance.

These are your two biggest things from what I remember about Mulan. That in spite of all of the peril she fought and stuck to her beliefs, even when it seemed foolish to do so.
