I am doing well except for the sore legs at night. I had an L-3 - S-1 anterior fusion with cages and screws. I am walking about a 1 1/2 miles a day on the walker. I am still getting my balance back ;)and I am walking in the pool about twice a week. I am not taking anything for pain except for perhaps twice a week when the sore back wakes me up at 3 a.m. My legs starting getting sore around 8 p.m. nightly and really ache to the point that it is tough to sleep. Has anyone else had this and what did you do about it? I am allergic to NSAIRAB and can't take them. Any suggestions?

Delaware girl, I had horrible cramps for months after my fusion. You might try putting bengay/icyhot on them. I would also put ice packs on them. I also found muscle relaxers to be helpful.

Make sure that you are taking vitamin D with magnesium that will help as well.

It sounRAB like you are doing awesome and I pray that these leg pains settle down for you soon.

Good luck.

123Dietdrpepper - Thanks. I'll try both. Did the cramps eventually go away? I am taking the calcium/magnesium twice a day.

yes they did for the most part. I now have them intermittently or when my sciatica flares up.
