Degenerating Spine disease.

I found out that that someone I know has degenerating spine disease. I don't know anything about it or even if that is the correct name. I really wish to know because it is very important. I'm a little out of whack right now so this entire message may not make any sense and may leave you going who? wtf? why? or ok.
I just want to know:
1.What the disease is
2.What effect does it have on people (is it lethal)
3.Does kill you within a period of time or leave you rendered helpless
4.How serious it is
5.Is it curable
6.Everything you know about it.

All I ask is that you right in a dumbied down for so I can understand you. None of that, the flux capacitator language with the cromosome x and z. I don't understand any of that. Please,Please,Please Help me. I am fucking freaking out and I'm not even joking. HELP. please.

Do you mean degenerating disc disease? Because all my searches for degenerating spine disease turned up as that. If it's any help, Wikipedia has an article on DDD. Hope it sheds a bit of light on what you're looking for.

I'm not exactly sure if that is it, but I hope to god that it is. The person who has it said that they were born without some sort of protien or cromosome or something, i dunno. I didn't see anything about that on here.
