Ok, so I'm only a junior in high school but I'm trying to figure out which colleges I want to go to based on my majors. The majors that I'm interested in are: Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, International Relations and Affairs, Spanish Language and Literature, Anthropology, International/Global Studies,
Linguistic, Comparative, and Related Language Studies, and maybe psychology. Just a bunch of social sciences. However, the local private college that I want to go to (before Grad school) only has bachelor programs in International Relations and Affairs, Spanish, and General Psychology that I would want, and perhaps Philosophy or Behavioral Sciences. Would these majors/minors be sufficient for Grad School? The job market? Currently, I have a high GPA but I haven't taken the ACT yet. I think to be an FSO would be the coolest job in the world but I think it's not realistic if I want a family. I'm not sure about Anthropology because I don't want to teach. Of the Social Sciences, what would be the most practical for landing a job/going to Grad school and fulfilling my desire to learn about other countries??? What would be the best combination? Double, triple major??? Minor? Also, I don't know if I'm cut out for Political Science........
How does one know if they'd be good in politics??? I guess I'm more interested in communicating with foreigners that the science behind it......for example, I love emailing people in other countries, like epals. But, what does politics involve? Decision making? Boring stuff? Opinions? I guess I don't know if I'd like it or not.......learning about the Constitution and Bill of Rights in Govn't class isn't my favorite. I'd rather communicate with people; talk with them one-on-one and hear their opinions and give advice of my own.
