I'm just about ready to replace my 1998 Monte Carlo that has 142,000 miles on it. Although I love Montes, I'm thinking about getting something different: a small pickup truck. I like Chevrolets and have always driven them. But I honestly like the looks and style of the Ford Ranger better. I realize these trucks won't get as good gas mileage as a Monte Carlo, so I'd probably be looking for a 2wd, 6 cylinder manual truck.
We all have our loyalties and mine seems to be towards Chevrolet. Why do you think I should pick one over the other? It's not like I'm completely anti-Ford. Even though they didn't have a Ranger, my workplace has F150's that I drive on the job. I've been happy with the F150 and Fords in general. If I don't go with the truck I'd most likely get a newer Monte Carlo instead. Thanks for your advice!
