Decided to keep the 1198s..so it's MOD time. Your recommendation is important

I really don't get this. You have purchased a bike that to some extent, you have reservations about keeping and now you're talking about mod's like an open clutch, rearsets, levers and powder coated wheels. These mod's aren't going to solve any of the issues you have with the bike.

IMO lower geared sprocket(s) and exhaust are the most important place to start. You have Akro', Termi', Arrow, CW, Leo, Zard etc to choose from and a ceramic coating for the pipes. If $ isn't an issue, IMO the 2010 Termignoni full system would be hard to beat.

Also, buy a service manual to better understand the bike.

If after this you still think the bike doesn't suit your needs then get rid of it before you blow $ on superficial stuff.

These bikes are an open road bike. Riding it from traffic light to traffic light is a pain in the ass.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Get the Titanium Cans so you can fully ceramic coat the end pipes where the can is attached. The carbon pipes can melt in the baking process of ceramic coating, FYI.

Well, I will stick with it regardless right now. I will get the 14T and Sprocket to solve the low speed problem. Whatever it is, I will have to deal with it.

Nevertheless....my head will still up high riding 1198S every single day! especially adding those MODs!!!

I'm still running the OEM 15T and undecided whether to replace it with a 14T. I'm sure there are plenty of learned owners on this forum who have installed a 14T and will chime in with some suggestions on brand/make.
