Hey guys... please advise on the following.

1) Open clutch - is it easy install the pressure plate? Dealer try to sell me the part and said it should only install by Ducati mechanic. Is it hard to install? Is it a high risk? I saw other post that it seems OK to me that no special skill needed. I just probably need to know the torque number.

2) I was recommended by dealer on speedymoto for cover, pressure plate, spring and spring cover. Is this a reliable brand? Any other good choice?

3) Rear Set.... CRG or Speedmoto? Any other good brands?

4) Levers...ASV or CRG? Any other brands?

5) Powder coat the wheel to dark. Recommended?

6) Exhaust...i need big help on this. All i need is a GREAT & LOUD SOUND. I do not want to mess with the ECU or any other thing. I careless about adding HP (as long as not reducing). Dealer recommended Competition Werkes? Not nice looking but said the sound is beautiful and loud. Lot of termi user actually sold their termi and went with this. Anyone heard of this and how it sounds? Is Yoshi a good fit? My friend works for Yoshi and can hook me up.

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP.

Find the look YOU like and then enjoy the bike. As you said you will not be tracking the bike. Look at other pictures on the site...

the clutch pressure plate is tits EZ.... visitorQ put up some step by step, pretty much idiot proof instructions. you can view it here:

I got my STM pressure plate and half cover from motostrano.com. you "should" get the speedy moto stainless steel bolt set since now your springs and bolts will be getting wet (maybe). Motowheels has a decent selection and any search through google for ducati clutch will get you started in a hunt for the look you want.

Rearsets I went with Acculign cause well.... I just think they are sexuh! A lot of people like the SATO brand cause they say "1198" on them. again, to each their own. I got my acculigns from Nick at motowheels.

ASV levers are bomb diggety!!!! but super hard to find. CRG levers aren't bad but I think Rizoma may be a better quality product and they are pretty sharp looking too....

powder coat the wheels if you want bro.... you're bike!!!!

Exhaust.... if you can get a sweet deal.... do it.... if you seriously want some cheap loudness..... www.aandrmotorsport.com will get you started for a "do it yourself" style slip-on that keeps the stock look but gets the termi sound. Here's a thread on it: http://www.ducatispot.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23365

there is also a thread with some good pics on gutting your stock baffles (which this kit requires). you can view it here:
http://www.ducatispot.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4424&highlight=baffles

it took me about 4-5hrs to get it all done but it was well worth it... the sound is VERY close to the termi sound. you won't need a new ECU if you just do the pipes/slipon but if you change out the filter or get a full system or something.... a new ECU is a must.

Hope this helped a bit.

go with the competition werkes.....i disagree that it isnt good looking but the sound is second to none.....loudest and deepest most beautiful singing youll ever hear

1) its easy
2) motowheels has a sale on Speedymoto kits right now, call Nick
3) I run SSR which are Sato knockoffs. Dont change your stock brake pedal, just complicates things and you may seize your rear brake, ask me how I know & I'm not the only one.
4) Pazzos but some love the ASV
5) If I could do it again, I'd get a Leo Vince or Akro

Why dealers always lie about information? I thought it should be an easy job. Dealer told me it will take some work and if no experience, it can be messed up pretty easy.

I like speedymoto's look but not sure quality. That is why asking if anyone has any problem with it?

Will seek for the Leo / Akro sound clip.
