debating on the air force?

I'm debating on going into the air force...is it a good branch to go into to? if youre in the air force what is it like?
if i decide to i wouldnt enlist till 2010
and what about the navy?
is it better for traveling than the air force?

i want to travel the world and im pretty much wasting my life going to school b/c i have no idea what im going for.
help?

I think military experiences differ from person to person just as much as they do from branch to branch. There is a lot of online resources you should look at, starting with military.com. Perhaps the first thing you should do is decide if you have a love for sea travel and small spaces. The navy life is full of that. Have you ever been on a battleship? They are small and not for the claustrophobic.
If you thought about it and you like the idea, have you thought about the coast guard? It's also military based, and they stay in the country for the most part, as opposed to being deployed more frequently like Navy or AF.

Also, have you considered what jobs you would like to do? The navy and air force may have similar jobs, but one branch may have an opportunity the other does not.

Talk to recruiters, they'll set you up with the ASVAB test which will tell you what jobs you're most suited for.

I have had friends in all branches of the military, some have loved it, some have hated it. It's really what you make of it. But as far as the travel goes, most of my Navy friends have been to Australia, Japan, and many more exciting places. But again, experiences vary from person to person.

What he said agreed I choose airforce after plenty of reasearch on my own and my friends and my recruiter pretty much any of the branches will get you travel time especially with there standby flights but if travel is what your looking for I would go air force because it has the opportunity to land you a job where you have little chance of bein in harms way but get to fly to 10+ countries a year (aircraft loadmasters) hope you choose :)
