We are slave to fashion and you're on the negative, does that mean you disagree or agree?
Well if you disagree, then I suppose some arguments would be that we're not because we develop our own sense of style, and like picasso 'borrow' other styles from tv and what not. It doesn't rule if it doesn't apply. We often try to rebel, or create a new trend if anything and with so many unique types of clothing it's relevance only matters to those in the business.
If you agree, well then we'd be slaves to fashion because there is always a set style regardless of how it looks. We actually 'identify' certain types of people based on their fashion, emos, urban, suburban, nerds, and even age groups. Styles have represented your status as far as wealth. Imagine a world where there was only one set clothing style, and the possible chaos it could have when people would be FORCED to socially interact with people to know who they are. Imagine gang members who identify themselves with certain clothing and a person who wouldn't realize this becasue of uniform clothing comes over to chat? A little extreme but i'm making a point.
