debating about poverty ... little help ?

Okay , our teacher deciede to do a debate thing . Our team chosed poverty and our resoulution is that : the government should provide healthcare for people who are poor or "poverty People"

But then she said that we had to go against that , and that im supposed to write 50 notes about that . But i dont have a resorurce or an article to help me with my notes. Does anybody know any ?

P.S: does anybody know a reason why we shouldnt providr health care for the poor people since im doing that -__- i have no idea
 
Providing free health care makes people more dependent on the state, kind of like allowing them to get used to welfare as a way of life.....You must understand that the government can't give the people anything....what they do is to make others pay for the benefits of those who can't afford it on their own. To take it to an extreme, should the government give an X box to everyone who can't afford one, just to make it fair? Wouldn't it be more fair if everyone had a nice car....nice house...and so on and so on? For anyone who wants fairness, is it fair to make me pay for your health care?
This may be an unpopular view, but it's hard to refute.
