in order to maintain global unity, religion must be ablished.

I'm doing a debate in my class and I'M AGAINST this statement. (religion should not be ablished) what kind of statistics might be helpful? I think my argument is really difficult to form because root of many problems today are religions...if you have any thots, useful links, please help me. Thank you.

I will begin by saying I am only an ordinary person, not one who is studying statistics.

Statistics only represent the information gathered from a specified pool. So, if I ring up (say) 1,000 people and ask them a question, I am only gathering information from people who own a telephone. This would mean my statistics are flawed. The same would be if I was standing outside (say) Macdonalds asking questions.
The questionnaire I was using could also invalidate the information garnered. The questions could be set in such a way as to provide only the information I wanted/needed to prove a point.
Some-one once said 'There are lies, damn lies and statistics' - the truth is in this statement
