for my midterm debate speech I am unfortunately assigned to the team that advocates that school should teach literature from the bible. I need to make a set of cards containing a defense and citation/qoute for when i am attacked by history or science issues of the bible. any ideas?

In college, they have bible as literature classes, but thats because its not a place where they can brainwash people. Maybe in high school, if kids want to take a elective about the bible and religion, thats ok. I personally wouldnt take it because I think the bible is boring, but so is religion.

But they shouldnt make it a requirement...plus schools dont want to pay for a teacher with a degree in bible studies, just to teach that one class.

Plus you have to remember, if you teach one religions literature, then you have to respect everyone else and teach theirs, since there isnt going to be just christians in school.
