true Savior...? Okay... So my friend and i are having what we call a "War Table". We are debating over two thing:

1) In the Bible, is there such a thing as "karma" not as in Buddhism... but as in you reap what you sow...

2) Pre-destination... Because God is all knowing, He already knows who is going to Heaven and who is Going to Hell...

I am debating there is such a thing "karma" in the Bible because I remember reading in Proverbs (I forgot what chapter and verse) it said... "A man's deeds will come back to him..." And I am debating that God gives us an A/B option... Chose God, Go to Heaven, chose world, go to Hell... However my friend is debating God forgives and forgets... and there is no such thing as "karma" in the Bible... And he is debating that God is all knowing and He already knows who is going to Heaven or Hell...

So can you help me out by giving me some verses that can help me "Counter Attack" my freind, and help prove my points... Also please give me your thoughts on these subjects...

Thanks
P.S. My friend and I do this because we are MKs and need to keep are minds sharp...

Galatians 6:7 says "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows."

I say that God gives us a choice of whether or not we have eternal life. He is still all-knowing of course but that doesn't mean he's automatically going to write us off.

First of all, I agree with you that people get what the deserve in accordance with God. God does forgive but he doesn't forget. God is all knowing. He gave us free will, the ability to do what we want on this earth, Because if he didn't we would all worship God and never sin make us more like animals.(I know animals do not worship God that is because the were never made to be Gods companions.) God made us to be his companions and wanted us to have free will and character. So everyone makes the decision to accept God as there savior or not. God being all knowing knows who will come to him and who will not. We however do not, but God still wants us to make the decision our self.

I hope this helps

What the Bible calls "reaping what you sow" is not Karma. It is simply the consequences of our actions. "Karma", on the other hand, implies there is a "force" that "gets back at" or "rewards" us for our actions. Big difference. Karma is not taught in the Bible, but the Bible does record many times when God dealt with people in certain ways to punish, correct, or make an example of their lousy behavior, as well as times when he "blessed" people for their good behavior. But that is not "Karma" in the true sense of the word since the teachers of "Karma" don't relate it to God, but as a power all its own.

Predestination is not Biblical in the sense that God determines who goes to hell and who goes to heaven. That is determined solely upon the free will choices of each individual. God is all-knowing, therefore, he could know ahead of time, if he wanted to, the choices each person will make, but knowing is not determining so that is not predestination. The only predestination taught in the Bible is found in John 3:16: God is not willing that ANY should perish. He wants everyone to choose him and thereby choose life, but he will never force that choice. It's ours, and ours alone, to make.

Colossians 2:8 Watch out for people who try to dazzle you with big words and intellectual double-talk. They want to drag you off into endless arguments that never amount to anything. They spread their ideas through the empty traditions of human beings and the empty superstitions of spirit beings. But that's not the way of Christ.
