I have to do a debate in a week on the con side of "under god" in the pledge and mandating prayer for schools and how the 1st amendment makes it illegal for a class. I have not ever done a debate so i wondering if anyone could help me out on how debates work and how to write an opening statement for this debate. I mainly need help on the opening statement. thanks.
