Debate on period time frame?

ok, so me & a bunch of girls in my PE class were having a discussion on whether or not you could get pregnant while you're on your period. My best friend & I said that your period can stop short if you get pregnant, even if you're on your period. The other girls were sayings that your period can stop short by a few days, even if you have sex while you're on period. Then me & my bestie said no, it'd only stop short if you get pregnant. This discussion got brought up b/c of another girl in our class thinks she's pregnant b/c her period started to go to only spotting on her 4th day of her period then completely stopped on her 5th day when she usually has 6 days of a period time frame. She had sex on Prom nite so her 3rd day of her period [[her boyfriend wore a condom, had it correctly, and it didn't break or anything]] so now she's kinda scared b/c it stopped a day short. So yea, me & my classmates would like a little insight FROM A PROFESSIONAL STAND POINT, not someone's opinion or thought.
 
the sex just interrupted her period. thats all. she is not pregnant.. i bet in the next day or two her period will start again to get rid of her old blood
