In class we're doing a debate on habeas corpus. My team is debating that terrorists should have the right to habeas corpus. So far my points include:
Guantanamo Bay
the Canadian Charter of Rights
and a speech from President Obama

what other points could i use to argue that terrorists should have the right to habeas corpus? and any examples for a closing statement? i need some guidance.

thanks everyone :)

Terrorists are not mentioned in the US Constitution. How can a label be used to strip a person of their inalienable rights? Who decides who's a terrorist?

The Sixth Ammendment of the U.S. Constitution

"In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial."

Be sure to emphasize on the word "all".
