A lot of people say Jainism is just like Hinduism, I think tbh it is completely different. We are probably more closer to Buddhism yet people say it is a branch of Hinduism!
What are your thoughts and views???? star please if u find interesting

Hindu nationalists say this as a way to make hinduism seem more all-encompassing. They did it to buddhism too by saying Siddharta Gautama is an avatar of Vishnu, even though Siddharta was anti-Brahmin.

Jainism and Buddhism are more similar to each other than either are with hinduism. Jainism influenced buddhism, then buddhism influenced hinduism. The vedas say to make animal sacrifices, which is completely incompatible with Jainism. When Buddhism became influencial the brahmins changed to become vegetarians while making part of their religion.
