Debate help...military force to prevent nuclear proliferation?

I have a debate for my government class in a few days and I am having some trouble with my topic. I am on the CON side of this argument: The U.S. should do all that it can to prevent nuclear proliferation, including military action if necessary. What are the down-sides of using military force to prevent proliferation? Please help.
