Debadged the bike yesterday

Well almost. The saddlebag badges have yet to be removed. I'm thinking of using some sort of stud that is different then the the round studs that are all ready on the saddlebags. Anyone have any ideas? Studs or otherwise?

Love black! My C90 is Dark/Light grey which was a compromise to satisfy SWMBO. I like it but not as much as a clean black one.

A fellow I know debadged his C90 and I see postings here where a lot of others have done it as well.

I like the style of the Suzuki cruisers. I wonder, why do you and others want to remove the Boulevard badging? Is it strictly for the simpler look? Is it to confuse people as to what it is? Is it because you want people to think it's something else (Harley)? Is it because you are ashamed to be riding a 'Zuke? If you had a HD, would you debadge it?

Most people in the small town where I live seem to ride either Harleys, Kawasakis or Yamahas. In the past two months since I got my bike I've only seen one other C90 and one C50 in the local area. Suzukis are well in the minority here and I feel I have a responsibility to "fly the flag" as I really like my bike and want others to see what it is.

I'm newly back to biking after being out of the sport for over 20 years. Is debadging something owners of other bikes - Yamaha, Honda, Kawi, HD - do as well? I've not seen it much around here unless its been on an older bike that has been rebuilt/painted, etc. Sorry if these questions seem naive - I am.

Beneath those plastic badges are some good looking paint!!!

I have had C50SE riders come up to me at stop lights and at the dealer asking me what Bike I have, the look on their face when I tell them the same as they are riding is just an added bonus.

Keith,

Good questions, and I like you were out of the saddle for over 20 years, closer to 30.
No I don't want people to think it's a HD. If I wanted a HD I would of bought one. I could care less what other people think of what I ride. I think Suzuki makes a fine product. The C50T had everything I wanted and so far has been a very good purchase. There are lots of C50's, and everyother type of bike, around my area. There are 2 just like mine with in 5 miles of my home.

I guess there are 3 reasons I debadged.

1. I think with out the tank badges the whole line of the bike changes. Its cleaner and the eye follows the slope of the tank more and makes it look larger, this makes the seat look lower. Then, with out the side case badges the clean line continues. I'm going to remove the front fork reflectors to try and extend the look of the front end. Theres something about those front reflectors that I just don't like.

2. The last I checked Suzuki has of yet not sent me a check for advertising there product. :P

3. The less chrome on the tank shows more black paint and every one knows black is faster. :bluethum:

I thought RED was....I would love a list of what mads and add ons you have done to your C50, it's looks exactly what I would wanna build, to the Tee.

New pictures are coming soon.

Since I bought the "T" I have added,

OEM light bar
OEM rear floor boads
OEM windshield bag
Show Chrome front fender guard

The list of wanted "Bling" is too long to mention. It never stops growing.
