Deathly Hallows - WOW!!

I was just reading the article on the front page with DR talking about how the split will frustrate fans. Where does everyone think the split will come?

These are my thoughts which I've decided to put it in spoilers as I'm not sure if everyone looking at the thread has read the books.

I was thinking that it could be at Bathilda Bagshot's house so perhaps leaving us not knowing if Harry & Herimone are alive or dead (although I think that could be a bit early)

or

It could be when they go to Malfoy Manor leaving us with Harry & Ron in the dungeon and Hermione being tortured leaving the rescue by Dobby to the begining of part 2

 Eh? Its still Bill and Fleur's wedding they haven't changed that.

That just has to be in, its my favourite line from the whole book. Plus they'll be a lot of angry fans if it isn't!

Also loved this bit, I have to admit JKR had me guessing the whole way as to whether Snape was actually good or bad and I loved the way that it was all revealed.

I guess they've just decided to write Bill's incident with Fenrir out altogether, unless it will happen during the wedding attack

Ha! I remember when I went to see Half Blood Prince they showed the New Moon trailer and someone shouted out, "Don't do it Cedric!"

There has been much speculation that the split will either be around the time that Harry, Ron and Hermione are captured by the Snatchers, Voldemort stealing the Elder Wand or Dobby's Death. A Snatcher chase scene has been added so that could serve as a climax for Part 1. Any one of those three scenes will be great.

There was a script leak months ago from a legitimate source that said
Bill will be introduced at the Dursley's house. He already has scars on his face and tells Harry about Greyback. However, we don't know if this script is an old version from when production first started, or the new, complete version used for the filming. There have also been rumours that Bill will be attacked in the 7 Potters sequence.

First time I read the book I did think it dragged on too long that section, but on subsequent re-reaRAB (one of which I have had recently) it doesn't seem to be the chore it was at first. I think that might be a section in the movie where they could add extra bits and pieces in to try and explain other things that have been left out of the previous movies (flashbacks etc perhaps?).

Oooh, I quite like the sound of that! I can't wait to see what Dom Gleeson will be like as Bill, and we didn't really get to see much of Fleur in GOF, and back then I thought Clemence Posey was a good choice, but I wonder what she'll be like in Deathly Hallows and a proper role, she's also going to be in the begining of the Gossip Girl's next season

It will make more money having two parts, fair enough... but I don't think this is any kind of ploy about money or that they're lying about the reason... any Harry Potter fan would want everything put in there to do the final part justice, and who in their right mind actually would sit through a 6 hour film!?!

I think they've done it the best way they can

No, making movies is about making money and what they are doing is making sure that they extract as much money from us as they possibly can. Quality is not an issue when it comes to blockbusters like this. Look at how much money the Transformers movies have made.

There have been some pictures of Posey and Gleeson on set. I believe there is a picture of them at the wedding and on the beach by Shell Cottage. There was also the Half-Blood Prince Blu-ray sneak peek for DH, in which we saw her dancing with Bill. It's going to be great to see old faces back again, with Frances de la Tour (Madame Maxime) and Stanislav Ianevski (Viktor Krum) coming back as well.

There can still be quality blockbusters, look at Inception and of course, Toy Story 3 :)
IMO anyway.
The HHP films are good but got better as they went on, I havent seen the 4th one but oddly I have seen 1, 2, 3, and 5. I thoiught No3 was the best.

Yeh, that'll be cool! Don't forget the new faces though, I don't know who i'm more excited about Rhys Ifans as Xeno Lovegood or Bill Nighy as Rufus Scrimgeour! Ahhh, who am I kidding i'm hugely excited about the whole thing!

Of those options I think the snatcher scene would make the most dramatic ending. It's possible that Dobby dying, without a shot of Voldemort breaking into the tomb to get the wand could be a bit like the end of LOTR Fellowship of the Ring in that you're a bit like, 'what no more film'

Question... are spoilers spoilers when everyone's read the book?? It's just a matter of where they're going to stop one bit and start the next surely?? Anyone who hasn't read the book in four years and doesn't want to know what happens is silly!!

Japan is hosting a Harry Potter Marathon across various cities on 11th August. It's already the 11th over there, so the marathon could be taking place at anytime. WB International have confirmed new Deathly Hallows footage will be shown.

I think it is your second spoiler. I remember reading quite some time ago that the actor who plays Goyle leaked it. Of course, the filmmakers could have changed their minRAB since then. However,
The capture scene
would be the best place to end film 7 imo.
