Japanese manga maniac rejoice! Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's 'Death Note' is going to be made into a movie, an American one unfortunately.

Read the story here.

Wonders whether it would be better than the Japanese version. What do you think?

Ugh, can they leave it alone. The two Death Note movies are not classics but I enjoyed them, looking forwarRAB to the prequel too.

Just pre-ordered limited edition Death Note DVD from Amazon after watching L change the world, which is from what I gather a Death Note spinoff.
Thought change the world was brilliant and had be gripped throughout, look forward to watching DN.
Never seen the Anime manga versions so should be good, won't have all the comparing malarky.

Im half way through watching the anime atm, it's dragging on a bit atm (i'm about half way through
Light becoming a good guy when he gives up his death note)

Misa still annoys the crap out of me lol

Well mine arrived today through the post, and I absolutly love the package design.

Once you remove the outer sleeve you reveal a Death Note, where the rules of the Note are imprinted on the first 2 pages, along with 2 lined pages to right names and then the whole Glossy pages featuring interviews and info on the film, then right at the back the 2 discs sit there to finish it off.

So very cool, or at least I think so lol

I watched L last night, was disappointed. Not up there with the two Deathnotes, I am also sick of Asian films using horrible British/American actors who can't act...
