The owner agreed on fixing it but wants me to pay 80$ because they never charged me for the work they did. They tell me the scratches to my car are a side effect to the repairs and wont budge on waiving the fees.
OK, I understand I didn't have to pay for the work but when they say "no charge" and they scratch my car, I shouldn't pay anything for it to get fixed still right?
My insurance agent agrees with me and told me that the car was in their care and thus should fix it for free. He also told me that my deductible is to high to go through insurance and told me not to do so.
Should I get a letter from a lawyer, go to small claims court or just get it fixed and when they present me the bill just tell them to bill the owner and leave?
