his house was on fire and he got out but went back in to get his dog (which died) and was caught in the fire.

he was in a coma for 8 weeks following that .

Just got in after driving the bus for the first time in weeks (thanks leg) and seems I have not missed much in this game then.
I wont bother watching so will just read Adam's commentary.
