when i am trying to turn on my

SL56 it only makes a buzzing sound

what do i have to do?

if flash where do i get the file or and programms

i have a USB cable

who can help

USB cable not work on E_GOLD phone.
to repair E-GOLD like S56 U need RS232cable
(skema find in this forum)
and to step by step repair it, you can search in this forum. in E-GOLD sesion. (with forum jump "bottom right"
all you need in there (in this forum)
 
my question is do i have to buy a RS232 and it is on one side usb and other rs

or do i have to make my own???

Inside you have DCA500 cable schematic and flashing/unlocking software Joker. Download from http://eh.student.utwente.nl/~landy/index.php?dir=Repair_FuBu/

Construct your cable (you need 4 wires) or buy C55 serial cable, conect this cable between PC and phone, open Joker,set "Type" SL55/SL56, click on "TP" and find in the picture which testpoint connect to the ground. Connect testpoint to the ground (phone need to be off), click on the "Service" -> Service mode, phush shortly red button from your phone (if your cable don't have the autoignition) and read on the Joker display (right window) if your phone enter in Service mode. Disconect TP from the ground, click "Flash" tab -> check Fullflash and verify if is checked "Protect Bootcore" (is verry important !!!) -> click on Write. Read on the Joker display (read window) if the flashing is started and wait. After flashing is finalised, go to "Service" and click on Phone off. Connect testpoint to the ground (again), go to the "Service" -> Service Mode, push shortly the red button from your phone (if you don't have cable with autoignition), disconect TP from the ground, click on "Read + Calc Keys". If on the right window see " Status: Factory Mode", your phone is unlocked. Click on "Phone off", close program and disconect cable. For more details search on this forum.

About your question for the RS232 cable (serial), one part have 9 pins female connector and other Siemens 12 pins Lumberg Slim connector. If you have DCA540 cable, solder directly on this connector (to the phone connector, not on the USB connector): pin1-autoignition; pin2-GND;pin3-TX;pin4-RX. So, you have possibility to use this cable for unloching/flashing E-Gold phones (using Serial interface) or for the data transfer (using USB interface).
