I went this afternoon to see this film.

I thought it was an alright horror movie.I thought there were some creepy moments but i guess i was probably hoping for more seeing as it was the 2 guys behind "Saw" that were associated with this film.
 
Ryan Kwanten is in this, isn't he?

How I used to adore him in Home and Away, lol.
 
i saw this thought i'd love it but it wasnt that great. AWFUL acting especially by donnie wahlberg

there were a couple of well filmed scenes though - i liked the way it went silent when the doll was about to kill
 
I thought the Wahlberg character in the film was a stereotypical movie cop, ignore all other options the husband is definatlely the killer:D
 
I also thought that was pretty good because you wondered how & when it was going to happen.

I have to admit

When i first saw the father i actually thought he looked like a ventriloquist doll.It was just the way he was dressed & slightly acted.So when it was revealed at the end that he was indeed a Ventriloquist doll i was slightly shocked.
 
Can someone spoiler tag the ending, from where the husband and the cop are in the theater, and they smash all the dolls? I missed the end:(
 
The Theatre starts to burn down and as the make their escape they are pursued by Mary Shaw, I think that Wahlberg slips and then comes face to face with MS and screams, tongue ripped out and falls. I know the husband escapes and revisits his dad and finRAB out that his father is a human dummy controlled by that woman who is......im not sure now anyone finish it off
 
The husband Jamie realises that the dummy Billy is missing and believes that he has gone to his Dad because he is another Ashen that is still alive. When he arrives he discovers that he was played all along by Ella. His Dad is dead and is a ventriloquist's dummy. Ella, was in fact the perfect doll that Mary Shaw was trying to create at the beginning of the film. I guess you could say they left it open as Billy was no where to be found, Marion said that Ella had it. Jamie screams "Noooo" when he realises that Ella is the perfect doll and Ella turns into Shaw for him to rip out his tongue....THE END

Did anyone see the Jigsaw doll from Saw on the floor in the theatre when they were just about to confront the clown doll on the chair?
 
I just seen this film - have to say I thought it was brilliant because it actually scared the bejesus outta me, plus to the ending wasnt predictable. :D
 
First film in years that genuinely scared the living s**t out of me.

Wooo....I read some bad reviews of this so wasn't gonna bother but after reading some of your comments I might give it a go. Doll's scare the hell out of me..
 
Hey, I thought dead silence was really good but I was confused by the end lol but watching the alternate ending made it abit clearer, they should have included that in the film because it would of made more sense for people!!
